📦Virtual Court Kiosk Components
What Makes Up A Virtual Court Kiosk?
Main Components
Computer
Virtual Court Kiosks are made of a Dell All-In-One Desktop computer. We support two different models that are virtually identical.
5480 Model User Manual
7410 Model User Manual
How do I know which model I have?
A quick way to know which model kiosk you have is to locate the power button. The Dell 5480 model has the power button on the front while the Dell 7410 model has the power button underneath.
Software
We are using a combination of 3 products to manage the Virtual Court Kiosks:
Deep Freeze: Keeps the Virtual Court Kiosk in “Kiosk Mode”, which limits the function of the PC. We also use Deep Freeze to control an overnight maintenance window where updates are pushed to each Virtual Court Kiosk.
N-Central: Remote monitoring and management
Sophos Intercept X: to manage endpoint security and any requested usage restrictions.
We also have the following security measures:
Program security ensured by disabling USB drives, disk drives, network-based storage, and unauthorized user actions
A secure environment created by allowing limited IP addresses, URLs, and intended software functionality
A centralized, cloud-based management console
Splashtop: a remote connection software that facilitates remote work with legal services staff
Furniture
Virtual Court Kiosks are mounted to a desk with monitor arms. For instructions on setting up a Virtual Court Kiosk, read more here.

Printer and Scanners
Some Virtual Court Kiosks have a printer (HP LaserJet Managed MFP E42540) with scan and copy capabilities. Some kiosks may just have a scanner without printing capabilities (HP ScanJet Pro 2600 f1). For more information on using the printers read more here. For troubleshooting a printer issue, please read more here.
Extra Components
Some Virtual Court Kiosk projects have added extra parts to make their kiosks easier to use. If you're interested in one or more of these for your Virtual Court Kiosk, please request it by sending an email to kiosks@tlsc.org.
